Side Lock Brake

Swivel Lock (Welded)
Available on: 30 Series top plate casters (zinc, nickel plated & stainless steel)
1-Position swivel lock that is factory installed only. Hand operated plunger locks caster swivel in trailing position at 180˚ while wheel spins freely. Spring-loaded plunger mechanism is welded to top plate and features a clip that automatically locks in top of fork base when activated.

Swivel Lock (Welded)
Available on: 81 Series casters.
Designed for heavier loads and industrial applications, these 4-position swivel locks are welded to the bottom of the top plate and can convert swivel casters into rigid casters.
The spring loaded plunger is hand operated and fits into notches cut in 90˚ intervals in the swivel raceway. Plunger locks out of way when not in use for free swiveling action. Factory installed only.

Swivel Lock (Bolt-On)
Available on: 71, 81 and S81 Series casters
4-Position, bolt-on swivel lock is installed as the caster is mounted on the equipment. A springloaded, hand-operated plunger is engaged to fit into slots on the swivel raceway at 90˚ intervals while wheel spins freely.
To disengage, simply pull out on the plunger pull ring and twist and lock so that it will not contact the swivel raceway. The caster fork base must be equipped with notches for this swivel lock to function.

Swivel Grease Seals
Swivel seals are designed to keep dirt and moisture out of the swivel raceway and lubricant in for easier swiveling and longer caster life.
They are recommended for equipment exposed to frequent washings or sterilization cycles in hospitals, food processing plants and bakeries. To order as factory installed swivel caster option, add “GS” to end of caster model number.

Floor Locks
Floor locks are designed to lock mobile equipment in a desired location. Often used on platform trucks, laundry carts and postal equipment, this unique locking system locks equipment in place with a simple press of the foot. Another press of the foot releases the lock for complete mobility. Floor locks are recommended for use on level surfaces only. Non-slip rubber brake pad on bottom of floor lock holds securely on a variety of floor surfaces.

Thread Guards
Thread guards are designed to protect wheel bearings from thread and other floor debris that can bind wheels thereby creating flat spots. They provide longer caster life and less maintenance of wheels. They are available as on option on many Jarvis models. See thread guard chart below for

A heavy duty bumper with reinforced, rounded corner to protect equipment from shocks and bumps. Steel inserts inside bumper assures permanent mounting to equipment.
